I understand his contract goes through next season but i would love if we could get him on our bench. He would be a perfect backup for Rondo! Can play Defense, shoot, drive, and dish. Also could guard the smaller twos. Then again i enjoy the way Tony is playing as of late but I would really like if we could get him as our backup PG! What do you think!

Wow, this popped up as I was writting a specific trade idea for Dooling in another Post.  If healthy, I think he is a great fit for what the Celtics need in a back-up PG.

I think Dooling's contract is only partially guaranteed for next year.

So, yeah, I think he'd be a good addition, with no adverse effects on our cap for next season.

I would try to get Dooling and Boone.  Sure, the Celtics do not really need Boone, but he would make a nice backup C to throw at big men while allowing KG and Wallace almost no time having to bang with the real big guys.

I agree that Boone would fill a need for size, and 6 hard fouls. Would love to get someone a little more skilled/consistent/battle-proven, though.

No interest in Boone -- he is a massive defensive + offensive liability.

Shelden Williams is a much better player. Comparable rebounder with a lot more ability on either end of the floor.

Yes - this was talked about earlier in the year.

He'll likely just be bought out.
