Wow. Really underwhelming. Remember last year when Lebron couldn't handle Dwight being in the spot light so, he said, "Right now, I am preliminary putting my name in the 2010 dunk contest."

Well, it's 2010. Where are you Lebron? Typical Lebron. As much as I can dislike the guy sometimes, I would enjoy the contest so much more if he were dunking.

Maybe I sound like a bitter old man (if you consider 29 old) but I yearn for the old days of the Slam Dunk competition.

The slam dunk contest used to be one of my all time favorite nights of television each year.  My brother and I would record it on VHS and go back and watch the contests over and over again.  Now I couldn't care less about the dunk contest.

Wade and Durant? Interesting. Those guys aren't big time dunkers, especially not Durant.

i said this in another thread last week, but it can be applied here:

personally, i would like the contestants in all star saturday to be with only players that will be in the all star game.  i think it would be more fun and appealing to the fans.

I'd have to agree with this.  Its pretty bad when you're watching end of the bench guys in these competitions (specifically the slam dunk). 

I think one thing would bring back some of the luster is if you did have the true superstars participating in these events.  Like DL, have only guys who are on the All-Star rosters participate.
