And Big Baby played fantastic. He seemed to have hurt his thumb again in the last few minutes. I hope he'll be all right for next game. Williams, as I've said before, is good for foul-making and needs more NBA experience, but not on the Celtics.
And finally, Paul Pierce. What a beautiful player. Now he's hurt his knee again twice in this game.
I still feel we're going to win the C, regardless of the injuries. Can you imagine how amazing this team would be with no injuries? Good lord, I don't think my heart could handle it.

I agree re Scal.  He is a very smart player. He plays great team defense, and very good one on one defense.  He is not fast, but man he has the ability to beat power forwards to the spot, much better than Shelden. Scal's feet are just quicker. Wow, I never thought I would say that.

I don't know what happened to Scal but he sure is busting out.
His defense was just amazing and he seemed to always be in the right place at the right time. His 3 pointers are also getting really good. We have so many 3 pointers on our team now.

What are the chances of our signing Scal to the LLE next year?

I was disappointed to see Kris Humprhies foul Baby so hard in such a blowout game with less than 3 minutes remaining. Humphries unfortunately only knows how to play one way which is difficult to hate on.

Have to give credit where it's due, and Scal did play very well the other night ... if it's a consistent thing, it will be a pleasant surprise. I think sometimes people forget, myself included, how hard it is to come off from the deep bench, after spending most of your time on your butt, and be able to be effectively productive. Guys like Scal come in cold as ice, and yet we expect them to play like they've had plenty of time to warm up and consistent playing time. Good job, Brine-meister ... keep it up and I may wanna keep you in green! ;)

Well, said and I agree.  Props to Scal for doing his job at a high level when we are needing him to replace two injured All-Stars.

Scal is playing as primarily as a PF currently, as I've mentioned countless times, and he's productive there.

If Doc puts him in his old role as SF, he will start sucking again. So please, Doc... keep using him as a PF or not at all.

While I agree he played pretty well in the last few games, it's hard not to notice that most players do better when they are put into the starting line up. I thought Giddens played pretty well in the game he started and Wallace has been much better since he's been playing with the starters.
I did like his little dance anftr Walker's dunk.

  • You say when......
Well, i agree scal played good last game..but his shooting percentage is still very average, i want to like him, i want him to be as good as varajo at least....did you know scal is the sixth highest paid player on the celts, how is that for an investment. Give sheldon the same playing time scal gets....i think he'll turn out better. scal didn't hit a shot before last game since before christmas...so don't lower the bar so low that anyone looks good. He DID play decent last game, but for that kind of money he could develop himself more than that..! I wish he would try some post up stuff, they still don't cover him in the corner, so it doesn't spread the d as they want...

Scal started out nicely with the shooting.  Granted he was a big part of the C's putting them away early, but his shooting got pretty atrocious after hitting his first few.

Not complaining.  Just sayin'.

He was less than good tonight, and good the last two games, but bottom line is, if Scal is starting than for the most part the Celtics will be losing.
