Got to feel for Clipper fans. Even when the franchise catches a break and does the right thing by drafting the consensus top player in the draft, it goes all sideways on them.

Feel bad for Clipper fans, gotta suck.

Quote
After experiencing some discomfort during his recently-accelerated rehabilitation program, Clippers’ forward Blake Griffin was examined Tuesday afternoon by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles.

As a result of that examination, it has been determined that the healing in his left patella area has not improved to the expected required level. Griffin will undergo a surgical procedure in the near future, with a recovery prognosis of four to six months. Team personnel will be made available to the media. Further details will be made available as events develop.

Wow. Every time I think the league is getting a new good big man....

nope.

ODEN ODEN ODEN!
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

It's David Stern.  Everything he does is about making the star perimeter player that attacks the rim shine.

Make rules so defending a player attacking the basket nearly imposible.

Whack the legs of most incoming big men that could be stars (Yao, Oden, Amara, KG, Blake, Brand...)

That '08 trophy looks shinier every day, doesn't it?

David Stern makes people hurt their legs?

Yep.

He also made sure Ewing never got to play with another star.

The Shaq and Kobe broke up.

And that Kobe got to play with a all star big man that most the fans don't respect at that level.

Also, David Stern convinced McDonalds to bring back the McRib, but only for a week or two, then send it away again.

He also made Simon quit American Idol.

In the future, he plans to have Texas declare it's independance so he can say that the NBA is now in three countries world wide.

Man, sucks to be a Clippers fan.  Bill Simmons was right - Blake Griffin should've gone overseas instead of going to that franchise.  He was doomed from the start.

Blake Griffin: Oden 2.0?

That is exactly the person I thought of.

I assume he will be considered a rookie next year?

If I were the Clippers, I would sell everything but Gordon, Griffin, and Kaman. Hope for John Wall in the draft, then hopefully have a great 10+ year future. :)

Wow - just looking back, I can honestly say that I am glad that Boston did Not get the opportunity to pick Oden or Griffin - no matter how tempting they looked.

I'll take an old, iffy-knee KG and Clutch Ray-Ray any day of the week.

It all worked out in the end for Boston. I think the Mystique is back, even if it may not seem like it here lately with our injuries.

KG WILL be back, soon..unlike Oden or Griffin.
