I really think this guy could be the perfect spark plug off the bench. The Nuggets are looking for some bigs and the Celtics could help them with something like BBD, Williams, and Tony for J.R. Smith and a 2nd round pick. What do you think. I know a lot of people dont like J.R. but he can knock down 3's and take it to the rack, not to mention a running mate with Rondo.

black hole kind of players that are not in the passing philo never worked for me
thats why i never like Eddie over all even when he is hot hes a black hole after all.
Not sure if he is the kind of player we need
I want some kind of battier of course i dont think we are getting one.

I would love if we could get someone like a Shane Battier. I really hope there is a major change to our bench by the trade deadline cause i just dont see it working in the playoffs.

i hear u and really agrees IF our starting lineup is still depleted
If Not, even tony can work as 2 fouls a night

Rondo
Allen  House
Pierce  Daniels
KG    Sheed BBD
Perk  Sheed Shelden

this lineup is stilll best or second best in the league

I am only worried for having what we have back
and get maybe another stopper to get daniels to 1 and backup the 3
but not really a scoring type
more like a defensive good passer guy

I don't think the Celtics can make an enticing enough offer to tempt the Nuggets into giving up JR Smith.

I'd love to have him on the Celtics though.

I like JR smith but I don't see him as worth giving up multiple bigs.. I see our big weaknesses as we're not a good rebounding team and we turn the ball over.  how is subtracting BBD and shelden and adding JR gonna help with that?

Rebounds we can probably survive with being bad at but T.O'.s are our biggest weakness. Thats the reason we lost to the Hawks. We turned the ball over at least 3 times in the last 3 mins. of the game.

that, and we couldn't score in the 4th quarter.. JR smith might help but we had PP and ray on the floor already

Eh, JR's OK but he's kind of a ball hog. I can't imagine him being a "team first, win together" type player off the bench. Some nights he heats up and looks stellar, but most nights he's pretty lackluster with a low FG% and several turnovers.

JR would provide instant points coming from the bench.  I think he would be a key figure in the second quarter and end of 3rd, when we have all our (blip)bums playing and one starter.  I like him a lot and have been trying hard to get him on my fantasy basketball team.
