I swear to God I will start booing him, in the TD Garden.

I understand that he wants to try his luck sometimes... fair enough. But at the present, he just can't make that shot. He's hurting the team by taking it. Practice it more before using it in a game for god's sake.

And before you guys say, "But he needs to take it in the game to get confidence!" or "He probably shoots it well in practice, he just needs to get it going in a game!" or some other nonsense, I'd like to point out 2 examples...

1) Tony Parker. The dude realized he's just not made to hit 3 pointers, and he's all but stopped taking them except for rare, once-a-game situations. This is an acceptable move if Rondo will never be able to hit this shot.

2) Kevin Love. Dude bricked 17 of 19 3 point shots his rookie year, so he just stopped taking them, and worked on the shot over the summer. He came back and now he's drilling them. But the key is, he didn't cost his team games by practicing his 3's in a live game... he worked on it in practice and during the summer before reintroducing the shot. This is also acceptable for Rondo.

But I'm just not cool with Rondo taking 5 three-pointers in close games.

  • Rondo = Good
I'm sorry but...did you watch the game?  The 3's Rondo took were all legitimate end-of-the-clock shots.  If he didn't take them, nobody else would have gotten the shot anyway.  It was not always his fault that he had the ball in his hands at the end of the shot clock, either.

Almost all of them are last second shots. I'd rather have Rondo shooting them rather than TA shooting bazookas off his shoulder.

Those 3's were all with 1-2 seconds left on the clock. He had no choice. Besides, there's no reason to pick on Rondo. The kid has played admirably for ~45 minutes a game in 2 games back to back. This coming off a hamstring injury. Not to mention he's been thrown to the floor, shoved, tripped, hacked, tackled, stepped on, and never gets a call.

Rondo is the only reason the team is in these games while playing without Garnett, Daniels, Sheed, etc. The point is, he should not be stuck with the ball behind the arch with the shot clock running down. That was the problem tonight. For some reason they did not run the offense well on a lot of posession and he was stuck and had to take the threes.

Yeah I'm going to start booing our all star caliber point guard too...Especially after he put up 26 points and 7 assists tonight...And also his 2 and 1/2 steals a game are very boo worthy as well.

Rofl, My imagination took that one pretty far.

That's a perfect way to describe Tony's shot, that or shoulder rockets lol.  ;D
