Did you catch this play from last night's game? This is hilarious, Tyreke Evans shoots a 3, airballs it but touches the net, and JR Smith thinks the ball went in so he goes out of bounds to make the inbound play but gets whistled for a turnover. ;D

The whole Nuggets team thought the shot was good too!

Yeah, it's hard to blame JR 100%. his angle was the worst one for that play, and EVERYONE started back the other way.

First time in NBA history that a referee correctly saw something that was missed by those on the court.  If only they were that accurate on every play!

Funny clip, thanks for posting lol

And even then the ref was kinda like "Wait, what the hell? Oh ok, that's out of bounds, yeah." tweet, tweet!

Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I've been fooled by that on TV before - nice to see a guy on the court make the same mistake.  At least it wasn't Tony Allen!

Haha. If there was one guy on the Celtics to fall for this, I'd bet my house it'd be TA.

This is awesome. I agree with the Kings guy. Never seen something like that.

From his angle, I can def see how he could've mistaken it.  The basket was between him and the ball, and if from his angle it was coming straight through and the net moved, I can see how a player can mistake it for a good shot.  However, everyone else seemed to react like it was good too.

This reminds me of those good old times playing ball with a hoop with not net.  It was always hard to know if the ball went in or not, which always led to some spirited discussions.
Baby Jesus!

I hate playing basketball without a net >_<

We have a court somewhere close by where the foot of the basket has a square bit of iron beneath it. It's quite sharp and if you hit a FT, clean, you'll have to run because the ball will bounce on it, off to either the left or the right, at a really high speed.

Bad for the ball, bad for practicing FT's, but very good for conditioning ;)

The way the ball was arching made it look like it was gonna go in too.
