For those Lester Lovers here, I don't know how much PT Lester will see in Memphis. He's kinda in a similar situation being behind a young promising PG in Conley, playing over 30 MPG, and an established vet in Tinsley, who is playing the rest of the backup minutes. Also, Memphis seems to be building some good chemistry with the current rotation.

He might not see time unless Memphis just gives up on Tinsley.

who is their scoring guard, cause thats what lester is.  eddie house reupping with the celts a month after lester was drafted really hurt his chances.

if memphis plays him off the ball he will shine.

It will be hard getting those off guard minutes from OJ Mayo.

If they hadn't traded away Gasol, they would suck.  As it is, they will make the playoffs if they continue to play well.

mayo is darn good for sure but here is the memphis depth chart.

no backup at shooting guard.  pencil in lester and give him some 8-10 minutes a game to start.

Actually Sam Young  gets the backup SG minutes and has been playing some pretty dam good ball for a rookie. Sam's a big SG which is a whole lot preferable nowadays than a very small SG.

nick you ain't ever liked lester and i think he will be successful so there is no point arguing.  we will just see what happens.  i'll check back with you in a month.

also i just checked sam young's stats and memphis might like someone at sg who can hit better than 19% on three pointers.

happy for him to be picked up by the grizzlies. but still a bit sad.

i was a big lester supporter for the celtics. oh well. he was a nice bench player for the celtics. i hope he has a good career.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I don't have anything against Lester. I think in time he could be an okay backup PG. He just doesn't have what it takes to displace anyone here in Boston. I think if he had his druthers that he would not have picked Memphis as a landing spot.

There's just a lot of proven NBA talent that is real young and working out pretty well in Memphis. A place like LA with the Clippers or New Jersey or Wahington might have been a much better spot for him.

What's up with Chris Wallace picking up all of our scraps?  First Darius Miles, and now Hudson.  Somehow, he let Gabe Pruitt fall through the cracks, though.

I wish Lester the best. He seems hard working and level headed so I'd love to see him succeed. Not sure if it'll be in Memphis.

I thought I was borderline indifferent about him being a Celtic until he was waived then I realized the news bummed me out. Must have warmed up to him after hearing he was helping Rondo pre-game.
