The Clippers just beat the Lakers by totally out-hustling them and then stomping on their whiny throats with the might foot of Craig Smith! 6-6 from the field, 12 points, 12 rebounds off the bench! Let's hear it for the B.C. guy! Very strong showing in the 4th quarter by the Clippers, I was quite impressed. They're a .500 team officially now and they are certainly playing like one of the better teams in this league. If Blake Griffin returns and is a player of the caliber we expect, the Clippers could rise into relevance - an astonishing feat for their franchise!  ;D
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Celtics, Lakers, and Magic are all playing iffy right now. Cleveland looks to be steamrolling teams.

Lakers have been handed games on a platter lately with players missing both freebies at the line and then Kobe bailing them out.

But OH MY GOODNESS. The Lakers aren't a true contender by losing to a 16-18 team! I don't care if their 2nd best player was out. That is no excuse. ;)

The difference is Clips beat C's with one of the luckiest shots ever. We had that game won till the end. Fakers got destroyed from beginning to end.

By that count we should demolish them when we meet on the 31st. LOL And I hope Garnett and Gasol both play.

Not quite, the Lakers had a one point lead in the first quarter. After that they stopped hitting anything and "hero mode" Kobe came out. That killed the Lakers for most of the third quarter.

It sure does seem like there is mid season malaise about already. The Holidays until the All Star Break is a tough time to focus for many.

Right, but injuries are a big part of that for the C's.  Lakers haven't had even close to the number of man-games lost due to injuries.

There's no point in trying to argue who's better with meaningless regular season games. I know we don't have anything better to talk about right now. But we just need to wait until the playoffs.

Who lost to the clippers by more won't matter then.
