well, not exactly 0's across the board last night.  He had a very noticeable negative number on the +/- scale  ::)

So did every Celtics bench player. The bench didn't bring a whole lot last night.

I know you're one of Scal's loyal defenders, but do you think he is really better than Justin Reed, who has been out of the league for a couple years?  Justin played Scal level defense, and he also got some garbage points here and there.

Justin Reed didn't play defense as well as Scalabrine, furthermore as an offensive player he was even more of a disaster for the team than Scalabrine. Comparable levels of badness but Reed was worse, which is one of the reasons Scal will be gone from the league after this year.

Scalabrine is bad, I've never said he wasn't. But people act like that Bill Walker would somehow be better. Walker has only one NBA attribute, athleticism. When it comes to being the 12th man athleticism is far from the most important attribute.

(Scal is our 12th man by minutes played per game)

I think all the hate is out of proportion. Its like the Lakers flipping out about Sasha Vujacic or D.J. Mebenga.

I rate Reed a little higher than that.  He was far better offensively than Scal.  He'd get some easy fast break points and stuff like that.  I agree about Walker, and I'm not even sure he has great basketball athletcism.  He has great leaping ability but average quickness.  Kind of like Gerald Green or Quinten Richardson.  Quickness is a lot more important than leaping ability.

Scal the most hated 12th man in the league. The guy does what he asked to do the best he is capable of and never complains. A good teammate and citizen. How quick ppl forget how he stepped in last year vs Orlando and played well coming off 3 concussions. The scal hate on this board is ridiculous. I hope Danny brings him back on a vets minimum+ for several more years.

Scal seems like a great teammate and all around good guy.  The hate is not for the person but for the player; he's awful.  I hope Danny brings him back too......as a bench coach or something but not as a player.

There's nothing wrong with hating Sasha. ;)

I have said this before and will say it again Scal hides he hangs around and does not make any mistakes because he is not doing anything. We got people saying he does what he is asked a major assumtion because we don't know what he is asked to do.

Maybe he does do what he is asked in that case we should be asking why is doc asking him not to rebound, not to defend, not to crash the offensive boards, not to penetrate and not to score!?
