Good news about KG. He practiced today and looked great. Doc won't play him in Detroit tomorrow ; he said Friday is still the target return date.

Here is a video of KG in practice (very intense as always :)) :

And shooting after practice : http://www.twitvid.com/A533B

KG can shoot the three, maybe he will shoot some in games along Sheed? :o (Just kidding)

Looks good to me, can't wait to have him back on the court.

Thanx for Post. More good news for a change.

KG is going to be fine.  I'm confident that he could have come back sooner, but the team allowed him to get 100% healthy.  I think people around here will quickly remember how great the player they're currently underestimating is.

Yup.  Agreed.  People underestimating KG are nuts.

5 of our losses have come without KG.  Another 2 without Pierce.   Not surprising that you'd lose games when one (or both) of your two best players are injured.

If anyone needs clarification on the difference between the Celtics WITH KG and the Celtics WITHOUT KG, let me spell it out.

2008 playoffs (with KG) = Champion
2009 playoffs (without KG) = Exit in the 2nd round

2009 Chicago series (without KG) = dead even with the Bulls.  7 game series with multiple overtimes.  Essentially a "tossup" on who is better.

October 30th vs Chicago (With KG) =  118-90... Celtics destroy the Bulls.

December 12th vs Chicago (With KG) = 106-80... Celtics destroy the Bulls.

Jan 14th Vs Chicago (without KG) = 83-96... Bulls beat the Celtics.

Seems pretty straight forward to me.  CEltics with KG = Contender.   Celtics without KG = mediocre.

I've said it multiple times.  I don't understand why people can't grasp this...   Taking KG off the Celtics is like taking Duncan off the Spurs.  You wouldn't expect much from them so why do people expect much from a Garnettless Boston squad?

gosh, this is great news for the celtics...and my fantasy team. :)
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

One thing that amazes me consistently is how talented these guys are shooting the ball. In this clip KG hit 5 of 7 or something from 3 pt land and he isn't even a 3 pt shooter. It also tells you how much more difficult it is in the NBA to shoot when you have guys flying all over  contesting your shot.

I sat and watched Hedo Turkoglu at the Garden shooting while injured. He was out there when the teams were in the locker room. I think he hit about 90 % of the 3 pointers he was shooting and I bet I saw him shoot at least 50. It was so fluid and unreal. I consider myself a good shooter from the outside, but these guys are unbelievable. I don't think many people realize how much better they are than everyone else.

Yeah, it's amazing how good they shoot. I sat on the floor for a Bulls game in the early 90's and watched, I think it was Trent Tucker, but may be wrong about his name. Anyway, he played for the Jazz and he was only about 10  feet in front of me and he must have hit 8 threes in a row in practice and probably only missed 3 or 4 out of maybe as many as 25.

great news but I'll believe it when I see it.  Just waiting for the inevitable incident in practice where someone bangs into his leg and he has to sit out another 3 weeks.
