For the last shot, get the ball to Ray.

My eyes are still hurting from that horrendous play by Pierce.

I hate that at the end of the games, we go into iso mode rather than getting good shots.

Yeah, bad possession.

5,5 seconds left, much time for a buzzer... hope it won't turn into a turnover for Boston, though.

Ray is the clutchest player in the league!

Still want to trade this guy?!

I'd still consider it, yes.  I love his clutch shooting, but it's a 48 minute game.  Had he not let D-wade score 18 points in the 1st quarter then the game wouldn't be close now.

wow, that was a bad play.  Why have Pierce run it when he's just coming back from an injury and has looked sluggish?  stupid play by Doc.

Horrible Pierce iso. I hate those plays.

Especially when he runs the clock down to nothing and leaves himself no option except to throw up a piece of poop
Yup

2 minutes left let's see what the C's can do in crunch time.  Veteran teams with championship aspirations WIN these types of games.   Rondo, Ray and Pierce are all on the floor so the C's should definitely pull this out against a Heat team with only one crunch time star...
No they don't, close games are a crap shot no matter how good your team is. Historical data going back 30 years tells us this.

Absolutely incorrect --- using that logic Championship teams don't win close games anymore than the bottom teams of the league.  Ummmm not quite...

Championship teams won a little bigger % of close games than the worst teams, but it's extremely close. Like 60-40. Nothing that comes close of picture the difference of quality between teams. Winning close games is mostly about luck.
I was under the impression it wasn't statistically significant margin. Depends on your criteria/study I'd imagine.

Wow Pierce makes a great play then follows it up with the worst possible possession.

Dribbles the shot clock down and forces a shot against a double team.  WHy in the world would the C's follow up a great offensive set with having Pierce dribble the clock down and go one on two.

Terrible

The problem is that if you're dribbling out time its very easy to zone your D and just concede a long jumper to Rondo.

I prefer plays with more off ball movement than what they just ran with Pierce.
