From Chris Forsberg's and Celtics' Twitter :

Quote
Doc Rivers is not with the team today due to a personal matter. He's expected to rejoin team tomorrow before flight to Miami.

Doc is not with the team for today's practice but is expected to rejoin the team tomorrow and for Wednesday vs. Miami.

I hope this is nothing serious for him or his family.

Yeah, "personal matter" is pretty vague and can mean a lot of things.  Hopefully it doesn't mean anything serious since he expects to coach the game on Wednesday.

It's just a deep thigh bruise, so he should be back soon.  He is just being kept out as a precaution.

Awww.  I thought this was satire because of the title.

"I should be back before too long, but it's indefinite, and I may have already passed away" Doc said in a team press release this afternoon. "Details are expected to be released as soon as tomorrow, but no later than the start of training camp" the Celtics announced on Monday.
