Giddens is using the pump fake too much

Giddens gets a wide open look...pump fakes...attempts to drive...forces a horrible shot or a turnover.  That pretty much sums up his game tonight. 

Why on Earth does he keep pump faking on wide open looks?  Get this bum off the court.  I'd rather see Scal start at the 3.

On a positive note, everyone not named J.R. is playing a solid game, thus far.  Also nice to see Hudson getting some minutes.

It's not a pump fake, it's a hitch. He just isn't comfortable shooting the ball. It has always been his problem (because when he puts it on the floor, it's a catastrophe waiting to happen). It's a shame, because he plays very good defence and moves well off-the-ball.

You're right.  It's definitely a hitch, rather than a pump fake.  Looks like Doc agreed, because he took him out, as soon as I posted this lol.

What exactly is Giddens good at?  He is afraid to shoot, can't pass and has no handles.

I am an amateur, but I don't think I could have passed up any of those shots he pump faked on.  It's definitely a lack of confidence and freakin' Scal is doing the same crap.  Shoot the ball!  You are hurting the team when you pass up wide open 15 ft jumpers deep in the shot clock and we end up taking a desperate contested shot.

Rant over.  We won with a skeleton crew.  I'll take it.

In his college highlights I don't recall him catching and shooting all that much. That's what he really has to get comfortable with to play in the NBA. His size, defensive ability, and rebounding would get him a spot on an NBA roster if he could just catch and make a few a shots.

He can shoot, just needs playing time/ How do you expect a guy who before tonight never played 8 minutes in an NBA game and do everything right? Give him time Doc! Everything will come. This was basically his NBA debut.
