No i dont want any trade ideas or anything like that. I just would like to get your honest opinion on two things.

1. Do you think this Celtics Team can win a championship with what we have right now fully healthy.

2. Should we make a move?

  • What a Pub Should Be
1) Yes

2) Maybe.  But nothing drastic.  Perhaps a deal to shore up our bench/depth.  Try and use our limited assets (the Scal, TA, etc. platter) to snag something.

No, I do not think this Celtics team can win the championship. I think injuries and age have caught up to them and while I think they will make a valiant run, I do not think they will make it out of the east, because I do not believe they will be fully healthy the rest of the year. The Garnett injury is suspicious and the way Doc et al are talking about it does not make me feel comfortable at all. As for a move, this team needs a backup point guard so badly that it hurts.

(1) Yes, the Celtics can win the title with their present roster.
(2) Consequently, no they do not need to make a move. They should be opportunistic in the trade market though.

Yes.

But I am not against improving the teams chances with good trades.

Yes, I think the Celtics can win a championship as they are now.  Trades should be considered, though, or next year might not look as kind.  (I would like to see the starting lineup remain Celtics, but, perhaps, Ray can come off the bench instead of starting.

  • You say when......
With everyone healthy and some MORE experience under all the players belts, yes, for sure we are deadly, as long as all the guys are healthy for real.....great slashers TA and marquise, hard to defend, wear teams out, TA makes a lot of other teams get in fould trouble.....rebounders, BBD and sheldon, use em...! Great big men, sheed KG and perk, perk needs to learn D a little better, his O is great....he gets lost on the pick and roll......great guards, ray pp, eddie rondo, we do have it all..!

Yes. Only 3 other teams with similar chances (Orlando, Los Angeles, San Antonio), I think.

2. Should we make a move?

It depends. If the rebounding doesn't improve, yes, they should sacrifice something to improve in that area and actively seek for a trade. If the team starts rebounding better, then just keep answering the calls. If a no-brainer is out there, then sure, jump on it.

1. Yes.

2. Yes. It may not be necessary but I would feel much better if we added a capable backup wing or maybe a backup point guard who can shoot.
