giddens may get hurt tonight.....he is out of control and too "giddy" during scrub time, he will be out of his mind on adrenaline starting and playing with the big dogs.

will be entertaining to say the least.

I genrally agree with you meadowlark, I am all for throiwng the youngsters into the fire and letting them take some lumps playign along side the starters to ease and hide their mistakes a little. If you don't they'll never be ready.

For example, I would much rather see Giddens for 10 minute sa ngiht than to ever see Ray play more than 35 minutes a night, except maybe in a playoff game.

Sit Ray, protect his health, play Giddens, maybe you find another weapon.

Finally, I'd add, that with this again team, we can use all the young, energetic legs we can get ( for spurts of time) to compliment the vets.

Baby, Tony, Giddens, Shelden, Walker...use them.

Use them...

Scal could be seeing lots of minutes against Turkoglu (if he plays) and Barngani since he plays away from the basket.

I expect Giddens to outrebound Bargnani.

I read this wrong at first, but looking at it the correct way, I agree with you. I think if he plays 25-30 minutes, there's a chance. He's a good rebounder, kind of like Rondo.

I honestly hope Giddens can take the spotlight (and Lester and Walker if they get some minutes tonight) and become our new Ryan Gomes, so to speak. From not seeing any playing time to starting one game out of neccesity and breaking into the rotation with a huge game.

I believe Gomes had close to 20 boards in his first start, think it was like 18 boards and 8 points. I'd be thrilled to see 10 boards and 8 points from JR.

Danny has a lot invested in Giddens. Every time CDR (Douglas-Roberts) scores 20 it must really hurt. They (Ainge/Doc) really need Giddens to show he is ready. He seems like he lets his nerves get to him. Only one way to cure that - throw him in and let him play through it. Unfortunately, Doc would never do that under normal circumstances, so perhaps this is what it takes to see what these guys can do.

Ainge hasn't had anything invested on Giddens since the moment he decided to not pick up his option. That draft pick is a sunk cost now.

Giddens can go 20/5/5 for the rest of the season and he still wouldn't be in Boston next year.
