Of all the players on the Celtics I think he has the least NBA ability. He is out of control because he plays faster than he should. That ought to be a great thing for a PG… I see a quick benching on its way.

As others have said Tony and Ray will probably be bringing the ball up the court, probably Tony  since he has been our back up pg before but if he isn't managing to well I see it being Ray more.  IMO, with the injuries we have I'm not totally against just throwing these young guys out there to see what they can do. The odds are against them but they really have nothing to lose. It would also make it easier to assess these guys in a real NBA game and not just during garbage time. Just my 2 cents

Giddens is a nightmare with the ball on his hands. He needs to be playing off-the-ball. If he could develop a good outside jumper, I think he could have a NBA career.

Ray or Tony will bring the ball up and that will be the case. Perhaps we are showcasing Mr. Giddens. I hope he does well and maybe becomes useful rather then just jumping up and giving high fives. I would enjoy for him to do well he has the good team mentality and seems to be a chemistry guy. I hope nothing but the best in his first start and shows us all something we didn't know we had.

My expectations for Walker, Hudson and Giddens are zero, so anything they do well will be a plus. I only hope I don't have to see the worst player in the NBA on the court for too many minutes against the Raptors. Please Doc, don't play Scal.

This sucks though! I am hoping that these couple of days off will be good enough for our starters to be back on Wednesday! I am going down to Miami to watch our team and in 07-08 i went and saw them and both Ray and KG were out! I really hope this is not the case this year. Please be back for the game so i can see these guys!

should be eddie

wow, I guess Nate Robinson doesn't sound as bad now that Rondo and Pierce are currently inactive...

I guess JR showed something that Walker and Hudson haven't.

IMO, Giddens has showed he possesses a couple of NBA level talents, namely in terms of defence and rebounding. He isn't a center, so defense and rebounding alone aren't enough to earn him a spot in the league, but it's still more than what Walker and Hudson have showed.

This is his opportunity.  We have seen other Celtic drafted players take role spots on this roster when they got a chance to play because of injury (West, Perk, Jefferson, Gomes, Powe, Davis and even TA at points).  We have also seen the players fall flat (Pruitt, Banks, Allen Ray, Reed)

Hopefully JR joins the 1st group.

I'm not gloomy about whats about to go down with the roster situation.  Much as I support doc, I want to break him out of his vice with the overreliance on his starters<too many minutes>.  Lets see how he coaches up the team OUTSIDE of kg,rondo, and pierce.  Eff the conventional wisdom about playoff seating<Champ teams win PERIOD>.  Frankly, I dont think Kg, Pierce, hamstringrondo, and Rayray have been getting enough rest.  People on the forums talk about panicking with the losses....I think people are panickin like doc with the big 3 minutes.  Now is the time to give the rooks and the bench a run.  You can't have it both ways when the popular phrase all season is the supposed "depth" the C'z have.  Id rather see a lower seating in the playoffs...and be FULL strength and a more game tested bench. I was actually intrigued to see the end of the bench get a run at the end of the suns game. This is assuming Danny and Doc are trying to ride or die with the team as presently constitued--

I Think TA will be starting for Rondo, and Giddens will just fill the void at that three spot.

Giddens could flourish without the "if you mess up your out" attitude flying at him. His game looks like he needs to relax, knowing he has guaranteed minutes will help.

Take away three starters from any team in the league, and two rotation players (for that's what Quisy is and Baby was) and see how they fare -_-

We *do* have depth. Just not at the PG spot (well we do, but Doc refuses to play Quisy as a PG, which he's better at than House)

But yeh. Tonight's game... I dunno.

I'm looking forward to it tho.

THE BENCH GAME.
