Or Lester. :P

I think Doc wants to keep Eddie as a 6th man because he wants him to spark us if needed.

It will be tough to win this game and it's frustrating to be bugged by injuries but to be positive we can only hope that Giddens will do a great job as a starter, get confident, and earn a spot in the rotation... or am I just dreaming? At least, we will have something to watch for. :-X

Why would Giddens start for Rondo? When did he become a point guard? Here's hoping the C's can keep this one withint 15 points without Pierce, Garnett and Rondo playing. I also noticed that article says Rondo is out with an ankle problem. What happened to his hamstring problem?

I think it's just an error from the journalist who wrote the article. In the Globe, Gary Washburn sait Rondo was out because of his hamstring (http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/celtics/extras/celtics_blog/2010/01/rondo_kg_pierce.html).

So Tony and Ray share PG duty in the starting unit. And House and Lester off the bench. It makes sense.

What you meant to say is we start the game without a point guard and then have one point guard, Lester Hudson, on the bench, who Doc will proably play as little as he possibly can. It won't solve the current injury problems, but Danny, please find/sign a real point guard for the bench or at least activate Tyron Lue.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
God I hope these are minor injuries.

This is interestingly bizarre. Giddens was the last person I'd think of to replace Rajon. Good for him. At the very least he can be a beast on the boards. Hope he does a decent job.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

I have no problem with resting Rondo for a game or two. However, I do have a problem that in order to rest Rondo, the Celtics have to put a team on the court that does not have a ball handler. I continue to be amazed by the fact that there really is no one else on this team, even Marquis Daniels, who can truly handle and distribute the ball other than Rajon Rondo.

JR has been a good soldier for a while. This is his time to shine. Like you said, he'll be a beast on the boards (maybe 15Rebounds)

I'd rather have Perkins bring up the ball than Tyrone Lue...A real point guard? Oye. What is with the Tyrone Lue fascination on this board?

Starting giddens is smart. You start Hudson, then you really have no point guard on the bench. Giddens will play 3 and TA and Ray play the guard spot. Walker or Giddens I feel is a good choice with the depleted line up.
