He needs to rest his hammy. It so clearly hampers him on both ends, especially the defensive end; you can't back pedal properly with a sore ham string. Killed my freshman year of college ball.

Personally, I would give Lester Hudson alot of time right now at the point, since he is the one guy on the current roster whose skills emulate Rondo. Plus a better shooter. We will lose our share of games in the process, but will gain (i) a healthy Rondo when it counts, and (ii) experience for Hudson, which could come in handy come play-off time.  Reminds me of Gomes' rookie year. He got no burn until a starter went down with an injury, and man, he contributed right away, and all of us were saying, "I told you so, Doc."

I agree, and I don't think they'd have to rest him beyond 2 to 3 games.

See, I can completely understand why they want Rondo to play through it when the best replacement that we can come up with off the bench is Hudson.   :P

A hamstring injury is not something you want to toy with.  Those pulls can linger and even become tears.  Tricky injuries to try and play through.

Who will be responsible if he tears it playing hurt?

Who do you think would be responsible?  It should be the training/medical staff's job to gauge and monitor these things.

Yet NBA players do it all the time.
I think everyone has been jumping on this an an excuse for Rondo's total lack of intrest in playing defense if it doesn't result in a steal.  Truthfully, this is nothing new.

Well, there are varying degress of hamstring issues.  Some are simple pulls while others can be more serious strains and even slight tears.

Its not cut and dry and I honestly don't know the exact situation with Rondo's.
