Wow, that was pretty cool!

Too bad Lebron could only beat some reindeer.

I don't care how much Kobe and Lebron are shoved down my throat and I'm told that I should like the taste, it's not gonna happen.  They are the two best players on the planet but that doesn't mean I have to accept them as likeable guys.  Neither of them are.

And for what it's worth I hope the Celtics never have a Nike puppets commercial.

That's not us, that's not this team (or at least not how I want to know/remember them.)  Leave the hyped up, narcissistic, national love fest, celebrating thyself while dancing around for an internationally evil conglomorate company's chance to make a bigger profit on shoes commercials for the guys that I never want KG/Paul/Ray to resemble.

I'm comfortable over here in the still overlooked, under appreciated, team basketball, gonna win the championship this year section.

Ahhhh, sorry about that, I needed to get that out of my system.  I feel much better now.

Would stepping on the reindeer's head be an offensive foul?  I say yes.

Just one more example of the NBA handing out superstar calls.

Not a very good song. If the song was better I would have loved it.

I like it. A little preachy but I appreciate the venom. Burn it down!

I understand the hate on Kobe and LeBron, I hate them too.

But you I keep hearing references to the NBA marketing guru's.  This has nothing to do with the NBA's marketing department.  Do you think Nike does anything with them?  Ya I'm sure they work together seeing how adidas and Reebok make the NBA jerseys  ::)

It has been so obvious through the years, I remember back when the league wanted the Bulls/Celtics Finals so bad, if you don't remember here's proof:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oACRt-Qp-s

Or more recently, the NBA was all about a Duncan/Garnett Finals, again here's proof:

Really no surprise that the C's and Pacers met 3 straight years in the playoffs.  Obviously it's what the league wanted.

Nike and the NBA must are clearly in cahoots since Nike is continually making commercials featuring its two most marketable ballers.  ::)

Are the raindeer supposed to be Celtics. They have very similar shorts to our away shorts?

Bulls Celtics Finals?? Bulls Celtics Finals??

Garnett Duncan Finals?? Garnett Duncan Finals??

Aren't the Celtics and Bulls in the same conference and didn't Garnett and Duncan play almost their entire career in the same conference. What exactly are you talking about?

Wow, it seems that LeBron James has resorted to challenging furry, woodland mammals to a game of street-ball following his highly-hyped demise to New York rapper/entrepreneur Jay-z's (obviously) superior bball 'skillz', as showcased in his recent music video "D.O.A." (Death of Autotune)...

In all seriousness, I found the puppet commercial to be quite funny -- though I'll admit that I'd much rather be watching the Celtics rematch the Lakers this Christmas. Living in Ohio (Cincinnati), I sometimes use the original "MVPuppets" commercial as an excuse to over-indulge myself at my favorite Chinese restaurant, but besides this I find that the commercials are a distracting gimmick, though obviously effective in terms of the underhanded hype that they bring to what the league markets as an 'exciting' match-up.

The commercials are great for a casual NBA fan/young children, and the holiday touch obviously doesn't hurt in this case. Either way, I'll be rooting for the Celtics come Christmas...

As far as the "MVPuppets" are concerned, one down, one to go.   8)
