Okay, come up with 3 mantras that will help Sheed to help himself stay on the floor....
He should pick a mantra and stay with it...and use in those moments when he feels himself losing control.....

Here are 3:

1.  Makes no difference that I'm right and he's wrong
2.  A kid in Africa is starving
3.  Words and Rings don't mix

I'm sure you guys can do better

1.  I'll get even when I write my book after I retire

2.  Someday I'll go a country where it's legal and challenge all these guys to duels via twitter

3.  Someday I'll be a Tv commentator at which point I will commentate

1. Learn from KG - you can get away with saying a lot more if you're staring into space while you do it.  Minimize eye contact with the refs.

2. Ticking off the refs doesn't reduce future bad calls, it increases them.

3. You can always just meet them out by the loading dock (wait, scratch this one)

Doc came up with a good one:

He who angers you owns you...

I like that one and I like my number 3: Rings and words don't mix.

1. Keep
2. doin'
3. me

because he's not gonna stop being the guy he's been for his whole life. Especially because some guys on the internet came up with some mantras.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I have always loved Sheed's "Ball don't Lie" verbals during the game.  But I see now that it just means Sheed has not let the moment pass.  He is still fighting the ref on the call and not moving on.

the eye contact and facial expressions make the words more offensive in the eyes of the refs....so vent while looking in the stands

ALWAYS loved robert parish when he didn't like a call made against him he made sure to put the ball on the floor where he was and go up the court
thereby not saying a word to ref but making ref go get ball
I don't ever remember a ref going out of their way to give the chief fouls or techs (even with the lambeer beat down!)
