Just saw it on Comcast. Hopefully he takes the opportunity to work on his game like Roger Mason and Will Bynum  did a few years ago when they went overseas. He still has a chance to be a good bench player in the future , he is still only like 22 years old. If only he can learn to play D and go all out every night he might get another shot in the NBA .

He still has all the talent you would want in a wing off the bench offensively. If only he can learn to play D and go all out every night he might get another shot in the NBA .

I actually support Gerald Green ability as a NBA player. He contributed for us while here, but for some reason alot C-Bloggers has soured on him & I dont understand why. He was a key piece in us acquiring KG. I for that will always like him & besides he was a very decent young performer for a guy only 20yrs old. Good Luck wherever you whind up playing Gerald!

  • No contaban con mi astucia !!!
I will try to merge it with the other 2 threads about this
but first I want to point that even if I think someone say that Gerald Scores 29 points in his first game ( his team lose)
Even if gerald score that way, If he ever comes back to the league as an authentic NBA player i will be the first to

Cause i really really really think he  is not and will never be an NBA player
Once a CrotorNat always a CROTORNAT  2 times CB draft Champion 2009-2012

Nice to be back!

let's see, no basketball iq; supposed to be an amazing guy who dropped to us somehow in the draft, then it became abundently clear why it happened. Tons of athleticism does not equal a quality (or even decent) performer.  He was all sizzle, no steak, and honestly the sizzle wasn't even all that good.

Via RealGM:

Former NBA guard Gerald Green signed with Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia recently.

"I'm just glad Gerald's still involved with the game," said Celtics captain Paul Pierce, a former teammate. "He's got a lot of talent. We'll probably see him again in the NBA some time soon.

"I think he's still a tremendous talent, but, you know, it's tough to try to make that adjustment out of high school, learning the pro game. In high school, you really don't understand what it's all about. I've always said that the easiest thing sometimes is making it into the NBA. The hardest thing is staying."

Green was taken by Boston with the 18th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft. He bounced around, spending time with the Celtics, Timberwolves, Rockets and Mavericks.

Glad to see he's still fighting and nice to see Paul have say some encouraging words about him as well.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
That's nice, but i doubt he lasts. Hes going to be miles behind these guys as far as fundamentals and understanding the game. I do however wish him the best of luck.

As low as my opinion of Gerald is at the moment, I don't see what is outlandish about thinking he can be a contributor in the NBA in his mid to late 20s.
