The Five Year Engagement...felt five hours long.  Every single scene in the movie drags and desperately needs trimming, so it was no big shock when I found out that this was a Judd Apatow production.  That man does not believe in editing at all.  There were some humorous parts and I like the cast, but about an hour into it I was saying "End already!"  I couldn't get into the story at all because the pacing was so frustrating.

Best written movie ever, and that's not just because it takes place in Boston. The dialogue is some of the best I've ever seen.

Watched the Shining for the first time ever yesterday. Very strange but absolutely brilliant at the same time.

Watched Cabin in the Woods also. Man. I dont know how I feel about it. After letting it sink in and seeing some of the reviews I think I liked it better than original. Apparently its supposed to be somewhat of a satire on the whole horror genre. Its got some crazy twists and turns that keep it from your run of the mill teens in the woods get killed horror story. Ill keep the details to a minimum as to not spoil it... It was somewhat original and if you go into it looking to be entertained and laugh more than be scared then I think its enjoyable. I went in expecting something completely different and apparently that was the writers and directors intention.

Also just watched Big Fish for the however manyith time. Reestablished its position as my favorite/best movie I've ever seen. Very emotional and very personal for me and I'm not afraid to admit that I balled my eyes out because of it. With the many classic Burton oddball flicks, this one stands out as his absolute best for me.

The Master. Fun movie if you enjoy laughing at the silliness of Scientology. Great performance by Phoenix. Painful to watch his character at times.

The Descendants.

It was pretty "meh".  I kept saying "that's not how real people speak" throughout most of the movie; there wasn't an authentic bone in this movie's collective body.

Go see it. Great great flick. Three for three from Affleck in the directors chair. Funny, entertaining, acting and writing was brilliant. Check it, should be big come Oscar season.

I can't watch that movie in front of other people. I find excuses to leave the room or go cook or something. Just can't watch it in front of others, can't trust myself to keep from bawling like a baby at the end.

Our Idiot Brother. A nice film, nothing special.

But Elizabeth Banks with dark hair looks a lot like Rachel McAdams. I only realized it wasn't Rachel in the middle of the movie.
