Saw World War Z - was kinda "meh" about it.  There were some cool scenes and I liked how the zombies really did become like a force of nature, and they actually had characters take some smart protective measures (like magazines around the forearms).

But it had the same problem the new War of the Worlds did - it was happy to horribly kill off millions of faceless schlubs, but not the characters we're supposed to empathize with.  I never felt for a second that Brad Pitt and his family were in any real danger, it just kinda felt like they were on the world's most horrifying amusement park ride.

The zombies didn't even act the same around Pitt - everybody else gets pounced on and slammed into the nearest surface, but they were apparently in awe of his star power and got slower and less aggressive.  Zombie movies shouldn't pull their punches when it comes to main characters.  It was fun overall but just much too Hollywood.

The Watch.  If you can appreciate juvenile / gross-out humor, it's worth a watch.  It's stupid and the plot is off the wall, but I got some solid laughs out of it.

Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 (in 3D)

Another color burst.  Not as good a story as the first one, but plenty of laughs.
Yup

I wanted to see "The Hobbit," so Wally and Jake went with me this afternoon.  Concensus was three thumbs up.  I thought the casting was good, especially for Gandalf and Bilbo Baggins.  Plenty of action, and good special effects.  (Jake is 16 and he really liked it.)  A Classic.

Saw Django: Unchained the other night. I really liked it honestly. Very violent, but it's not too bad. Some witty scenes had me laughing. Overall I recommend it

A true feel good movie. :)

Just watched Captain Philips last weekend

Really really good movie, a very smart/brave captain for saving his crew and I can't believe the trauma this he had experienced
