I have to say, after the last two games, I feel slightly better about having Tony in there for a few weeks. I still want him nowhere near the court at the end of games, or in the playoffs when every possession counts, but for a 6-8 week stretch in December and January, I think he should be able to hold down the fort well enough. While his dumb mistakes are hard enough to watch (you can see all of them coming from a mile away, groaning a second before they actually happen, which makes them 10 times more painful), he does add some energy to the second unit that they were missing, and that comes close to making up for his bumblingness (yes, I made up that word...what of it?). As long as they have a quick enough hook when he is having one of his terrible games, and don't give him an opportunity to blow a game down the stretch, the Tony Allen experiment could actually work...for a little while anyways.
