Take a look here.

KG is 2nd among east forwards
Paul Pierce is 4th among east forwards
Ray Allen is 4th among east guards
Rondo is 9th among east guards
Perkins is 9th among east centers

That's a shame about Perkins.  The stats don't do any justice to the type of year he's having.

Yeah, fans are ignorant.  Rasheed ahead of Perk? Unreal.

Also, Rondo is way too low, and Ray is way too high.

Yep, unfair for Perk but I guess the fan voter don't see him play that much or don't like him. Since the votes are mostly based on popularity... the only chance to be selected for Perk is the coaches votes.

Shaq shouldn't be the 2nd center in the East. What a shame... not to mention Iverson 6th at the guards, in front of Joe Johnson, Rondo & cie! :o

Or T-Mac voted in the West. ;D

I would have put Rondo higher but KG, Pierce and Ray are well where they deserve to be considering the opposition. Have to disagree with you on Ray, Roy!

Initial thoughts...

Bosh should be starting over KG.  KGs been good and great the last few games but Bosh is putting up 24 and 12.  Also Atlanta really needs to step it up for Joe Johnson, he has to be higher.  Same with Nets fans and B Lopez.  And seriously?  Amare and T-Mac out west?  Amare's not even a center.  But at least he's actually played this year...

Tmac #2 among guards in the west, and Iverson ahead of Joe Johnson.  Apparently, "fans" don't watch the games any more.

Here;s what I say happens in the Eastern Conference for the All-Star team:

Starters:

Howard
Garnett
James
Wade
Carter

Reserves:

Pierce
Bosh
Arenas
Johnson
Horford
Iguodala
?

Who the last player will be is yet to be determined but I think these 11 players are ll but guaranteed a trip at this point, though I acknowledge that Iguodala and Horford are debatable, I think they go.

I think Josh Smith should be a lock to make the All-Star game.

He's playing so much better than last season ... main reason Atlanta has improved so much this year.

East All stars: (in my opinion, and so far this season)

Starters:
Wade
J. Johnson
James
Garnett
Howard

Reserves:
Rondo
Carter
Pierce
Bosh
Perkins

West All stars:

Starters:
C.Paul
Kobe
Melo
Dirk
Stoudemire

Reserves:
Nash
B. Roy
Durant
P. Gasol
Duncan

BUT, we all know this is a popularity contest. James will pull for Shaq and Mo to make the team. Kobe will pull for Gasol, Artest, and Bynum to make the team. Iverson will make it cause 80% of the voters OBVIOUSLY dont watch the NBA.

It just really grinds my gears...

I agree. Smith, Perkins, Rondo, Horford, Iguodala, Jennings, Noah, and Gerald Wallace all have cases to be made for one of the last three spots on the East other than the 9 for certain players of LeBron, Wade, Carter, Howard, Garnett, Pierce, Arenas, Johnson and Bosh.

Is Arenas really playing that well?'

honest question I think I will answer myself watching the game tonight but what do you all think about this one.

Arenas doesn't deserve to go. He has played poorly ... not a lot of options for that fourth guard spot though. That's the reason why he stands such a good chance of making it.

Dwyane Wade + Vince Carter + Joe Johnson + ??

Rondo would be my choice for the final guard spot. Four guards, six forwards, and the two centers (no idea on the second center yet).

The one thing I am pretty sure will happen is Rondo being voted in. Does anyone notice how much the opposing coaches seem to mention Rondo during their half-time, pre-game planning etc...and they are the ones that vote them in correct?
