PG Rodney Stuckey  Will Bynum
SG Chucky Atkins  Ben Gordon
SF Jonas Jerebko  Austin Daye
PF Jason Maxiell  Charlie Villanueva
C Ben Wallace  Kwame Brown

There seems to be alot of offense off the bench (and alot of FA money), and not to much offense starting.

Does this confuse anyone else?

I mean I could understant if Rip and Prince were playing, but...

Atkins in ahead of Gordon or Bynum?  Makes no sense.

I really don't understand it either. It's unfortunate that some wins against bad teams might encourage Kuester to do it more. Stuckey may be one of the worst high volume shooters in the league. He takes about 17 shots a game and shoots 40%.

Also, Chucky Atkins is STARTING? It doesn't make sense to me at all.

Wow, I had no idea that the Pistons were rolling that starting line-up out there.  That's very strange.  My how the mighty have fallen.

Yea I'm surprised all the money they spent this summer happen to be starting the game on the bench.

The Chucky Atkins decision is odd ... but the rest of their starters are on the money.

I read somewhere that they ran that starting lineup out and scored only 10 points in the first quarter the other night. How can you be constantly putting your team in a big deficit(and I understand that has been happening a bunch) night in and night out and not lose the players or have the front office be okay with it?

You could make the case that Charlie V could help the offense more the Maxiel with other threats on the bench.

The Atkins thing makes a lot of sense to me, since Stuckey, Bynum, and Gordon are all shoot first players, and Atkins is the only true PG they really have on their roster.

If there was another scorer in there.  But their isn't.

And when Rip returns and starts, Stuckey still has to be a PG.

To me, start Gordon.

Gordon has been fighting an ankle injury lately.

CV recently fractured his nose this past week, I think he's being brought back into the game as a means of acclimating to his new mask.

And if you didn't see the Pistons last game vs. Washington, Atkins played great. I think he would be a good backup option for a title contender.

Charlie Villanueva shouldn't start. The more he plays the worse Detroit gets. He has a negative impact on his own team. The less minutes the better.

Eh, I think there are so many problems with the way the roster is put together that it is just nitpicking.  I think they need to have Atkins out there to run the show, since no one else is capable of it (Stuckey is a terrible floor leader).

What they need to do is make some trades.

Stuckey isn't a pure point, by any stretch. I believe they planned on having Tayshaun as a point forward in that offense, meaning Gordon could back up both Stuckey and Rip (and still see about 30 minutes a game).

They also have experimented quite often with a three-guard lineup of Stuckey, Bynum, and Gordon on the floor. It's actually been somewhat successful for them.

I'd agree, the roster is pretty unbalanced. Dumars has some work to do.

Tanking for a higher draft pick?  That's how it reads to me.  Although I don't know who they're eyeing in the draft.  Are there any real superstars out there?
