If a woman can't get into MLB, I can't imagine seeing one in the NBA.

Say what you'd like about that, such as anything it would imply, but that's how I feel it is.

The best HS Boys team in the country would destroy the WNBA all-stars

i would take the wnba all stars in that game.

I wouldn't, only because the best high school teams often have multiple NBA-level talents on their team.  The top high school teams all send multiple players to play in Division I every season.

The women would have more depth, but I think they'd have a hard time stopping the top-level players on the guys' team.

I kinda agree with Derren, but maybe the women would win from time to time. A bunch of high school guys could maybe be drafted, but that doesn't mean they get to play or are good

Not if she's playing one of these:

(Just a joke)

Seriously, if a person can realistically compete on the NBA level of talent and athleticism, It doesn't matter what gender they are ... I just don't see that happening anytime soon, mainly for reasons of physical attributes and athletic capabilities.

She doesn't play far from where I live.  A game may be worth checking out just for the spectacle of it.

I think you are extremely underestimating how much athleticism and the physical presence that the high school team would pose against the WNBA players would be. Pin the WNBA all-stars against Oak Hill academy, Worcester academy, or Bridgton academy (among several others) and they would certainly get pounded. The players on those teams would all be bigger, taller, stronger, faster and be able to jump a lot higher than the WNBA all-stars. Not to mention there are some pretty good basketball players in high school right now. Even someone like Perkins who was not even a stud coming out of high school would have absolutely dominated the WNBA at 17 or 18. He would have been 10 times what Shaq was to the regular NBA. The girls, in the end might end up  having better Bball IQ, fundamentals, Shot, etc but in the end they would be held back completely due to the difference in athleticism and size

Why is this still going? Seriously, its like 10 pages of people agreeing with each other.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

This is as closest thing to talking about girls that's allowed on the blog. ;)

I agree. Even where there's disagreement there's agreeing to disagree.

I was actually kind of sad to see these still going. I kind of thought the phil jackson story would have put this thing to bed.

Exactly what I think, to the letter, every time it pops up in my "unread topics" thingy.
