Nice second quarter.
The C's in the last 10 games have been prone to losing intensity (especially on the defensive end) once they get a 2 possession lead. They did put the foot to the floor a bit on Friday -- I'd really be encouraged to see them show some relentless intensity in the second half tonight.

Truly excellent last 6 minutes of that half. Just some great shut down defense and loved Pierce on Wade defensively and Rondo the whole quarter.

People don't give Paul enough credit for his defense, but he's one of the few players that can effectively shut down, (or I should say bother), players like D-Wade and Kobe. I'll never forget how frustrated Kobe was in game 6 of the playoffs ... Pierce shut him down in that game, and just went off at the other end ... that game was one of my best Celtics memories ever.

Sheed fined only $30000 for the Turkeydodo stuff. For sure I thought they'd hit him with a triple or quadruple fine. I guess the quick T tonight was their way of getting that money anyway.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

I 'scan-read' your message and I noticed I have a mental link for "game 6" that just makes me beam.

What are the refs trying to do here? Foul out the starters and main bench players of both teams? Perhaps they're closet fans of the end of benchers? Hoping to see a 4th quarter Giddens/Diawara shoot-out? What?!
Diawhatta? Diarrhea? Hiawatha?

Lol! Try saying THAT name, (Diawara), five times fast ... great tongue-tie.
Unfortunately for you, I'm from Holland. Tongue-tied is our native language!

.edit: I mean, I can pronounce nearly anything :P

Yeah ... I've been learning Tagalog over the last year, and that's how I sound all the time! I think I'm doing great until I talk to my (soon-to-be) fiance' and in-laws and they start giggling ... it's cruel, man ... just cruel! ;)

Energetic is the main word.

Imo they look like the Celtics of old. We've seen lots of good D (not all the way through, but a lot of it, compared to earlier games) with good contribution from everyone.

Lots of rebounding too, even on the offense.

Also, we're making the extra pass, and doing a good job finishing. Creating easy shots, and having a Rondo that's actually active before the third/fourth quarter.

Well-said, NG (TP) ... that's the key ... when they play D with the energy they're capable of, there's no one who can beat them. We've seen glimpses of that old defense tonight ... let's hope they keep up the pressure.

Any Sox fans out there catch the news update that the Sox are now in talks for Hanley Ramirez. Huge, huge, huge news.

Let me correct that. Huge, huge, huge news ...if it were ever to happen.
