Wow
worser and worserer
Sounds like another case of Toine rubber stamping his name on an investment and not keeping tabs on it. Getting harder to have sympathy for the guy.
Why do you say that? Toine thought he had hired the "right people" to take care of his businesses but apparently he was taken advantage of. If those "people" did their jobs, there wouldn't be an issue right now. Only thing that I do agree with(and even Walker said it) was that he should've focused on doing this business venture of his POST-RETIREMENT and not when he still wanted to play so he would be more focused on this.
By the way, isn't it "interesting" that this comes up right after the Casino-gambling business Toine is dealing with? Coincidence?
You have stuck by Antoine and promoted his legacy and playing ability and a need for him to come back here to the hilt. I commend you for that as you are obviously a dedicated fan or, who knows, maybe even a friend of his.
Bu this is a different matter. When you are the "boss" and it is your money being used to run a venture or when you are in charge of people who are then in charge of other people or responsibilities, it is up to you to manage and direct them properly and make sure things mare getting done properly.
Please don't minimize Antoine's responsibility in this by saying that he hired other people to do a job and they didn't, I beg you. Please. This is Antoine's fault for not staying on top of things and being the intelligent, mature, responsible businessman that he needed to be. Instead, he became a high stakes, gambling, bad check passing fool that shirked his duties to his wife, his kids, his family and now to the people who called him their landlord.
That's inexcusable. That child could have died from having to breathe with all that mold in that house. Others could have died if bricks fell on top of them or if the sewage problem caused bacteria growth enough to spread disease.
Please, P Squared, revisit your opinion on this one. Defend Antoine's player legacy, perhaps that is a worthy thing to defend. But in this aspect, Antoine deserves no defense. One should never allow things like this to happen if you are the person at the top.
