Like I said, I was very negative on Wallace in the past and thought he was grossly overpaid ... but I think he's earning his paycheck these days ($9.5 million). I'd have no problem paying him that salary.

15-16 points (solid scoring) + 7.5 rebounds (excellent rebounding) + very good-to-excellent defense = $10 million range

So far this year it's actually more like 14 pts 11 rebounds 1-2 steals and a block or two. I know because I have him on my fantasy team.

One thing to remember with G-Wallace is offensively he has pretty awful field goal percentage, so he wouldn't score very much on a team where he didn't take a lot of shots.  But he's great slashing to the hoop, scoring on fast breaks, rebounding, and playing good defense.

Gerald Wallace can't shoot, but he does everything else very well.  The question is how much Ray Allen's shooting outweighs Wallace's defense and rebounding.  I don't think it does, but it's a question on which reasonable people could disagree.

Absolutely. I mean, I want Nocioni but [dang] if Gerald Wallace was ever offered I'd jump on that no matter what. Unless of course it involved Rondo, Perk, KG or Pierce. Probably Allen, too.

Chances we get him for what we can offer, though? Nah, not good. I wish, though.. I've had a closet hardon for Wallace for a couple years now. He'd look great rebounding and running on the break here in green.

Gerald Wallace is IMO the most complete Non All-Star in the league.

He's one of the best defensive SF's.
He's THE best rebounding SF.
AND with the addition of Stephen Jackson he'll be more efficient as the 2nd option.

I disagree with you on this. Ray Allen's shooting ablility spaces the court which makes him a huge net plus on the offensive end.

I think a starting line-up featuring Rondo, Gerald Wallace and Kendrick Perkins would have very serious spacing issues.  He'd make a tremendous 6th man however.
