This is linked on the front page but here's to redundancy redundancy!

Link: http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/sports/celtics/index.php/2009/11/25/ainge-kg-making-progress-despite-warning-signs/

Ainge mentions that he is healed and is not hurt. The important comment he makes is that he has been having problem with his shins. I think this is very encouraging. If anyone has ever had shin splints, they know it can sap an awful lot of explosiveness from your game.  It would also explain his different gaits you see at different times of a game.

The good thing about this? It's not an injury, but rather something he can correct in the way he is running. With this little tid bit of info I am making the bold prediction that we have not seen the last of KG's super hops and poster dunks.

Happy Thanksgiving CB!

This is maybe why Doc said it will take all season for KG to catch back up.

The hardship of an 82 game season doesn't bode well for a fast recovery.

It's going to be a slow process, just like our whole team.

The thing is if Garnett was hurting (seriously hurting) there is no way that he would be playing in games right now. There is just no reason for him to. If the trainers are giving him the ok then there isn't much we can do since that should mean that he is fine. Look at Shaq right now. They might be overly cautious with him right now but there would be no reason IMO to play Garnett now if he is seriously hurt. Hopefully it's more along the lines of him gaining strength by playing  rather than him playing injured. If Garnett is actually injured and further gets injured further because of that I will be very very disappointed in our medical staff. If it gets to the point where they think an injury can occur if he continues to play at this rate then they should just rest him.

exactly. Even with all the secrecy last year, they didn't hesitate to shut him down when it was clear he was hurting.

In regards to the article, I'm a former soccer player and after coming back from ACL surgery, I had to deal with shin splints for most of my returning season. Its something that you learn to deal with over time, but it definitely limits your ability to really get in the air and accelerate.
