Uhhh.... no?

Why the hell would you care?
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Unless something fell through with his deal then yes I have a problem.

If he is wearing different kicks though I'm guessing there is something else going on contractually with his shoes.

I get the question though and if he still is pumping is affordable kicks but is wearing higher priced Nike's in games then the marketing team for hi shoes will have some splaining to do.

Edit: Sorry for the typos...in the words of the great Bass Thumper...*Sippin*

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
Of course I have a problem with it. If its worth writing about what brand of basketball shoes the enemy wears, I guess an immediate investigation must be forthcoming to see if Harrington had an unfair advantage over us.  Get on with it; Pronto!
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine

What are we talking about here? Every time I turn on my television, I see Harrington and his Protege shoe commercial, "saying it's not the price of the shoe that makes the basketball player, so wear the protege." Yet in the games, Al himself, wears Nike.

Who cares? It's extremely hypocritical. And to be quite honest, I thought this topic was pretty "straight forward" as far as some of the topics I've seen lately: 1) It deals with basketball 2) It's relevant to a lot more things than just basketball.

Maybe you haven't seen the Al Harrington Protege commercial.

Never saw the commercial and can't stand Harrington as I think he is a major head case.

So, I guess I'll bow out of the thread and not clog it up and let the thousands of others that are interested in it to post their ideas.

I haven't seen it in a while and had honestly forgotten about it completely until you just said this. Now I get why this matters.

Good eye. I didn't notice. I can't stand Harrington and I welcome any additional information to dislike him more. Very hypocritical if he doesn't believe the product he's marketing is good enough for him.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I guess I kinda care, since it is totally hypocritical.

I guess my bigger problem is with players who aren't really stars (or stars anymore) that have their own shoes. Of course there were the highly acclaimed, 'Starburys', and also from Steve and Barry's, were the 'Big Ben' basketball shoes.

I am looking forward to the new 'Przybillas' or 'Ratliffs' to be presented by Woolworths or Zayre.
