I do not like Rondo's effect on the Celtics offense when they're facing the Orlando Magic.

Rondo has got to do better in the future. Be more aggressive as a penetrator + in the open court.

Is he overthinking?  He looks like he's not sure of what to do, and it seems to be slowing him down.  Decisiveness is part of what the C's need from Rondo.

There was no inside game in the first quarter, limited in the second quarter and the second half.  As long as team plays soft (which they did) and settles for outside shots...we are done.

you can say this EVERY GAME he plays----he's been way too soft since he signed that deal.....and we suffer when he WALKS.

I don't think the deal has anything to do with it. Maybe he ought to go back sitting in his car right up until 45 minutes before the game. He's now getting to the arena 4 hours early and he doesn't have anything to show for it.

It happens a lot against Orlando ... and it makes me nervous about how well we match up with the Magic.

The Celtics do a great job of defending Perkins but Orlando do just as well, if not better, defending Rondo and hurting the C's offense.

Whenever Rondo gets into the paint and Dwight Howard is in the vicinity ... decision making becomes worrisome ... He's not comfortable at all in the paint, or near the paint, in those situations.

What I don't like is I'm seeing too much complaining to the refs and not enough hustle.

0 for 8 from 3 range from Sheed is unacceptable.  I'll be real curious if Baby takes some minutes away from him when he returns.

I'll take some solace in the fact that Sheed and Daniels addition changed the dynamic of the team...especially when you combine that with Baby's stupid injury.

But this lack of defensive hustle is horrible...and Wallace to me has been the main culprit.  But he's not alone.  Rondo has stunk ever since he got that contract.

Its not panic time yet, but early returns on the Sheed signing is that it was a major mistake.

I will go back to what I posted before...biggest difference between last year and this year is the hustle/passion of Powe and Baby vs what we're seeing from Sheed.  Plus Rondo has been playing like crap and no shots are going in.

Orlando defends the paint and the transition very well and have Howard/Gortat as rim protectors.

Rondo needs to take what they're giving him or sit on the bench. Otherwise, only by luck will the Celtics offence work against Orlando.

I thought the defensive energy was where it needed to be after the 1st quarter )of course they dug a 16 point hole in that period by not contesting 3's).
Yup

Orlando played great D; but did not like our rotations. If you are not going to play Rondo - play Daniels instead. Don't settle for the 3. House and Wallace are killing us.

I'm talking more season to date vs just tonight.  I actually thought the defensive effort was there down the stretch, especially from Sheed, but I don't like what I've seen overall from this team so far.  Defense breaks down when one or two guys aren't doing their job and its obvious that this is what's happening.

Is it worth playing Hudson a little instead of Eddie?
