Is it just me or is our team really bad at defending the perimeter?  It seems like every team that plays us rains them down from outside.  That can't be a coincidence.

Yeah awful defense on the perimeter, terrible to watch, always the sames mistakes and the slow steps.

Above is the correction of your post to where it should have ended.

It's poor. Very poor.

The question is...why?  Are our wing players just really bad perimeter defenders?  I didn't think it was that bad...but every team seems to shoot at least 40-50% from 3 against us (while we rain bricks).

I'd say we either dig in on D now or we'll again be allowing a bad team to feel they can give the C's a game -- guys get hot and we are once again holding our breath.  We have got to show that we can turn it on.

It seems like the last 2 years we were moving as the ball moved on D, now it seems like we start moving when it gets there.  They're making us run around on D and we just aren't doing it.

Why does our bench seem to always play better than our starters in the 1st quarter?

That's a real problem.

That was a big problem last year during the first couple months. We always came out very flat in the first quarter but picking it up later on. I remember some of the guys then (Pierce) just saying that they will come around and that they weren't too concerned with it. They did end up playing better in the first quarters eventually after that (from what I remember).  I'm hoping this will change gradually. We are only 12 games into the season so not a huge concern now IMO
