Celtics (8-2) at Pacers (3-3)

Another shocking loss --- championship caliber teams normally respond to getting beat at home by taking it out on their next opponent.  Instead the Celtics wilted on the road and came up with another loss.  We all know they are old but to be seemingly incapable of playing back to back games this early in the season is very surprising.  The vaunted Celtics defense was once again terrible.  Doc talked about how important the recent break was in order for the team to practice and get back to playing solid defense.  Two losses in a row, deplorable defense, getting beat for loose balls and all around lackluster play isn't what he had in mind.

Definitely major cause for concern now...

The fact of the matter is, I was fighting to get this stream for the game working for me then actually watching the game, which infuriates me. Now, I don't even know what necessarily went wrong, apart from the fact we allowed 100 points...

Well, at least we scored 100 points....I guess. No seriously, even if that included garbage time, I can't say our offense was the biggest problem. The problem was we apparently couldn't defend a chair.

But look at the bright side: we don't play again until Wednesday....but we do play the Magic in 6 days. I suggest the Celtics re-learn how to play defense again, ESPECIALLY DEFENSIVE REBOUNDING.

...If for no other reason, I'll be ticked if they lose to the Knicks in 8 days, cause I'm gonna be in MSG that afternoon.

Yes, let's just ignore half a dozen of consecutive game with no defense. After all, it's not like we're competing for the championship here, or anything.

This.  I think people aren't "panicing" right now because they care about having 3 losses this early in the season.  The reason to be worried right now is that this is a team which has built an identity around playing lock down defense, and in at least half of the games we've played so far this season, we've had really awful defense.

We started the season as the best defensive team in the league, but we're losing that reputation very, very quickly.

Are you kidding me? The turning point of this game was clearly when Joey Crawford awarded the Pacers 10 free points as a result of multiple mind-boggling calls. Technical foul on Perkins because he said "I went straight up"? Absolutely ridiculous. This is the same guy who held a grudge toward Tim Duncan of all people.

lol of course it was a joke, but more so a joke about that fact that we have had him on our team twice than the fact that his numbers are currently good. I do disagree with you though. His numbers should drop, but I think overall he is going to have his best season in the NBA this year as far as numbers go. However yes, it was still a joke.
