Just thought it would be fun running down the memories of the last decade since we've only got less than 2 months left in the ... 00's? aughts? two-thousands?  how have we gone 10 years and not settled this?

Obviously one big highlight is the Celtics championship.  Other sports memories include the 2 Red Sox titles and the 3 Pats titles (plus the 18-1 season)

But since this is the Off Topic thread, here's a few more:

- the Y2K scare was a decade ago - also Price was being played nonstop on New Years
- 9/11 - enough said
- Bush completed two terms as President
- The US entered into two wars
- We elected the first black President

Obviously I'm missing a ton since politics isn't my strong-point but please add to this list

what else am I missing?

feel free to be creative or funny if you like

  • Thank you Eddie!
Going from 4th grade to my 2nd year of college
The 2000 election
Facebook/Myspace
iPhone hype
"HD" channels (why aren't these available built in to new HDTV's?)
Awful mainstream music
Guitar Hero/Rock Band
Realizing how bad Family Guy is
The Internet taking over our lives
DVD's
Reality shows
Crazy copyright protection
The Wall Street Heist of 2008
$4/gallon gas

This decade sucked a lot, and that's an understatement.  At least we had the Celtics become relevant again.
