This trade will work, I tried it on Realgm.com

What about sending Brian Scalabrine and Jr Giddens to Memphis

                              for
Steven Hunter and Sam Young??? and if Memphis wants to add Lester Hudson to the package, that works also, so it could be:
Scal and Giddens +/- Hudson .......for........Steven Hunter and Sam Young

Steven Hunter gives us a legit 7ft who's athletic, and I like Sam Young to give us a young wing with potential, and at the same time contribute in limited minutes right now, unlike some (JR, Tony)...and i like the future prospect of having Young and Billy Walker on the wings in the post Big 3 era, whenever that happens.

Not only that, but if Hudson is sent in the deal, we would still have Tony Allens and his contract to deal, and try and get a pg, for point guard depth.

If Hudson is not sent in the deal, then You can try and trade Tony Allen for any position, or you can package Tony and Lester for something, if you wanted to.

I like this deal because we can make a trade, get some valuable pieces in return, and still have the flexibility to make other moves.

Rondo/(lester) or new pg
Ray/House/Walker/(tony allen)
Pierce/Daniels/Sam Young
KG/BBD/Williams
Perk/Sheed/Steven Hunter

If we are gauging who to trade based on tonights sluggish game against the New Jersey Nets, then we have bigger issues at hand. And if we were to gauge who to trade based off of tonights game, then it seems to me that almost half of the team would be traded.

And I dont call Steven Hunter and Sam Young crap, I call that players close in value to that of and in relation to Scal and Jr Giddens.

I'm pretty sure, after watching Scal's career in New Jersey and in Boston, I'm pretty sure there isn't any thing Scal can do, that Sam Young can't. Scal may shoot a little better, but fortunately we dont live and die on Scal's jumper, so he's not that great of a shooter.

And i have made numerous trade proposals regarding TA. But it seems to me that ppl get upset when i post different trade scenario's involving TA. They get upset because of who i say to get in return, but who we get in return is only a reflection of who we are trading. So if we trade TA, i wouldn't expect someone who is significantly better. But some of my trade proposals for TA have included........Acie Law, Dorrell Wright, and Jarvis Hayes.

Tyronn Lue for Iverson. But AI is one of our coaches, whoever we think isn't good enough at perimeter D has to guard Iverson all practice.

Sam Young is not young: he's 24. And he can't dribble. Better shooter than TA tho, but that's not saying much.

TA and Giddens for AI!

Co-sign.

I would do that deal if Memphis threw in next year's unprotected second rounder.  Then I'd waive Iverson.  I would never let AI get within 50 miles of Waltham.

AI is definitely going to be a trade deadline acquisition for someone this season, I thought so as soon as he signed with Memphis.

Very well said. Concise and to the point = effective.

How does Scal continue to remain underrated?

Scal is Overrated consider that he  makes 3 mil a year. Money needed for the salary cap!

Kinda reminds your of Chris Dudley or Jon Koncak deal.
"a 6'11" free agent with career averages of 4.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, to a seven-year, $11 million contract."  Sports Illustrated 93

Whereas Scal has career average of 3.5 ppg and 2.3 rpg.

And he doesn't even wave a towel.....(hello M.L. Carr, bench player, practice player)

Trading Scal is addition by subtraction, despite being beloved by fans and teammates: he's overpaid for the role he has on the team.
Veteran's minimum is all he's really worth.  Ainge signed him at time when the Celtics were desperate for stability in the locker room, and frankly Danny has regretted the commitment to the money for a while now.  Which makes him hard to trade, until his contract is due to expire.  He is a back-up to a back-up.  So Back Up!!!!

Tony Allen for AI works straight up. I would do it. Worst thing that happens is AI acts up and we cut him and sign someone else.

I don't really see the point of many deals right now.  The starters have great chemistry and House, Daniels, and Wallace fit in brilliantly.  I suppose we could trade our end-of-the-bench players for other end-of-the-bench players, but is there really a point in doing that?  Right now I think we're probably better off with guys like Giddens and Hudson, who at the very least know the system and aren't cancers.
