He's lying.
I could easily see him taking 2 million a year less if it gave the other team cap room to pay another player.

I don't think he'd ever accept not being "the man" on a team though.

He's going to NJ/Brooklyn with brook Lopez, Devin Harris, Courtney Lee, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Jay-Z, Beyonce and that Russian dude. He's going to take the max and he's going to be the man in the Big Apple.

He's lying through his teeth if he says he's going to take less, I don't care if it's one dollar less, he's lying.

I think he's going to resign with Cleveland.  More of a gut instinct more than anything.

He's lying.

I'm with you. Even if he was thinking of taking a pay cut before Tiger beating him to the 1st billionaire athlete spot probably changed his mind.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Wow that would certainly seem appealing...but IMO even with Wade added to that mix they still don't win a Championship.

Lebron would be a rich man without a Championship.

No one would offer him anything lower then the MAX anyway.

He doesn't need max money he makes way more in endorsements. If he moves to a bigger market  ( New York, Boston, LA, Miami) he could make so much money that he's barely need a salary. I don't think money will be the biggest issue.

He wants to be a billionaire. Its not about feeding his family, its about getting the most money possible.

Huge contract + same endorsements > small contract + same endorsements.

Money was never and ISSUE with Lebron--he has no financial problems. He just wants the most money possible.

And him coming to Boston is lunacy. Never, ever going to happen.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

He'd never say it but there's ego involved when it comes to who is making what in the NBA.  That alone is reason for him to want MAX money.

LeBron could lose both legs in a tragic gardening accident and he'd still get max-contract offers.
