I don't see why Cleveland never plays him at PF. He would create so many mismatches against opposing teams. They should go with a starting lineup of

PG: Mo Williams
SG: Delonte
SF: Parker or Moon
PF: Lebron
 C: Shaq

This would allow Lebron to get out on the fast break with a smaller lineup and still be able to have a half court offense with Shaq or Big Z in there . To me this is how they would be most successful. I really think Mike Brown has no clue what he is doing.
I agree that LeBron + Shaq as the bigs looks like the Cavs best overall offensive lineup + their second best defensive big man combination (Varejao/Bron better) ... but the trio on the perimeter is a major problem. There just isn't enough talent there.

Also, rebounding looks like a major concern there. Parker and Delonte West are both liabilities as rebounders on the wing, as is Daniel Gibson. Mo Williams is mediocre. That leaves Jamario Moon as the only good rebounder on the perimeter (not a guy you want to be giving long minutes to either). This is after the Cavs big men (Shaq, Z, Varejao, Hickson & Co.) go from playing 88 minutes a night to 58 which will further hurt their rebounding.

I'd be very concerned about the Cavs defense on the perimeter with LeBron James. Anthony Parker + Jamario Moon is the same combination the Raptors were putting out there last season and they were got cut up by opposing wings on a regular basis. It's not like Mo Williams is a decent defender either, or Gibson for that matter. That only increases the defensive pressure on Delonte West (not a good thing).

True, it will increase the team's offensive production ... but it'll have to make up all of those negatives to make it worthwhile and that will be a difficult task.

The LeBron @ PF idea is a very interesting one but I think it'll only be a lateral move (same same, just different) unless the talent on the perimeter is upgraded.

Which is the trade Big Z for a good wing idea. Do that and things get more interesting.

Also, on a final note, I think LeBron is best off at small forward. I think he's more effective there. The switch to PF, should it happen, should only be concerned a short term move for the good of the team long term.
