This would matter if say, RONDO, who was at one point a very good 3 sport athelete... wanted to leave and play in the NFL.

I played football with him 2 years ago and he could easily make the transition. TE, Fullback, OT, whatever. He has unreal hands and mobility.

Saban had a starting position for him at LSU whenever he wanted it.

Here's the frustration with Davis. Everything coming out of the Celtics camp has been about "we." The company line is that the TEAM is one unit and everyone is leaning on that.  

In Davis' case there's been a lot of "me" recently.

While this quote may be retroactive, the current message it sends goes against the ethos of the team. That's frustrating to see.

I think he's at the point where reporters are looking to him for the "story." While everyone else is on track, Davis is the person writers will go to for the headline. That isn't what you want from your 4th big. Especially one who is presently not active.

I don't like him constantly answering questions about himself. The only words I want to hear from this guy are "championship", "we", "the other guys", "winning", "I'll do whatever it takes to help the team". Especially when he's not playing because of a stupid immature incident. I've had enough of the Celtic version of Papelbon.

Yes, and if memory serves he was an all state football player in HS-- fullback, I believe.
