So when they don't repeat we already know why, apparently Bynum is made out of some kind of glass or other brittle material.

"Sam Cassell was heckling on the sideline when I walked down, He looked at me and was like, ‘You're getting the ball, I know you're getting the ball!'
said Allen.

And did Cassell, a man of many words, have anything to say after that?

"No, I told him he needed to wear a tie."

But Bynum is still better than Perk, everyone says.

I sort of compare it to Tracy McGrady vs. Paul Pierce.  Everyone says McGrady is so much better, when not injured.  But that's the problem, he's always injured, just like Bynum.  You can't NOT factor that in.

Perk>Bynum
Pierce>McGrady

Well, it's not his knees, so he probably won't be out that long.  But I'm sure he'll have a worse injury at some point this year.

I just figure if one hard foul can sprain his elbow, hes just waiting for the next foul to go out for the rest of the year.

Who wants to lay down some odds for who misses major time first:  Bynum or Vince Carter?

That's why I said first.  Although them colliding and injuring each other isn't out of the question.

Hmm sounds like a TA type situation in the making. Promising young player with a stretch of great games raising expectations followed by an injury returns with inconsistent play and disappoints fans. Rinse and repeat and repeat.
Too early to tell but I'm curious to see if this season follows the pattern.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Then they both fall down and turn to ash like when vampires get staked in movies. I could totally see that happen

Doesn't sound like a big deal. But Bynum is begining to look like an injury prone player.

Considering how easily he seems to get into terrible funks when the Lakers don't force feed him touches this could really hurt the Lakers, even if he just misses a couple games. They need Pau back in the worst way.

I bet Kupchack loves when Bynum is injured. He gets to recoup insurance money from the horrendous contract he gave Bynum to begin with. $58 million over 4 years for a guy nobody was bidding over $45 for?

Hurray.

Insurance doesn't cover most injuries, especially not the ones of the nature Bynum has had.
