It doesn't also help the celtics have a line in front of him in the sf/sg position and that he has to have a d!ck of a coach like rivers.

Really? Blame it on Doc for not playing a scrub. Comments like this boggles the mind.

Did Gideens surpass TA as the most despised celtic on these board overnight or what?

Not at all.  It's just become apparent, after watching him the last few games, that he's not a good enough player to contribute on a championship-level team.  We had the "he doesn't get any playing time, how do we know he's not any good?" question to sit behind before, but that excuse is evaporating with every bad play he makes.

I still wish the best for him, and I still hope that something breaks him out of his shell and he starts contributing.  I also think that it won't happen - at least not as a Celtic.

  • Rondo = Good
Giddens is going to go the way of Gabe Pruitt - just sooner.

lol you'd think...people sound legitimately angry at this guy. i'm not sure how a thread about how well lester hudson is playing is instead all about jr. i have definitely been pleased with how lester has taken the challenge and played with poise out there. he has certainly in very limited time shown much more than giddens has. and much more than bill walker has as well. quite honestly i did imagine a time when both walker and jr might take over this team. if you ask me, right now both of them are pretty useless.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

Hudson's only a year older than Giddens, who of course has a year more professional experience and played more big-time college ball.

If Hudson continues to show a game like that, there should be no more talk about a back up PG.

Yep, great game from Lester last night. I'm glad we have him on board, and he could fit in well in case of injuries (crossing my fingers).

Just remember, Daniels tends to miss a fair amount of time each season; I sure as hell hope that he can play 82 this year, but I feel OK about this spot in case he does go down for a little while.

giddens has to be the last wing on the depth chart.  it's just that the other two wings are injured.  giddens is just not an nba player.  he can't get to the rim in the NBA and he looks to have a similar bbiq to G$.  at least tony can play aggressive defense and walker can follow shots and be a threat on the fast break.

on the other hand lester hudson is an nba player.  for a guy that was picked last in the draft to be getting playing time on a (the) contender says it all.  so far he's been a great pick by danny, considering what is usually available that late in the draft (erdin).

It was garbage time folks. Its a nice start, but we have yet to see if he can perform when he doesn't have such a comfortable situation.

Its not like Philly has PGs that challenge you either, they play a SG at that position....

True, but in those seasons he was logging alot more minutes I beleive. Here, he's playing 20-25 minutes a game. Actually, most of the team is in that range. In the long run this should keep people fresh and keep injuries down.

The better Hudson plays, too, the less sting I feel from Giddens' presence on the roster, since if we didn't draft him the likely choice would have been Chalmers (at least he would have made the most sense to have been drafted there).

He's still got a ways to go to be PG but, he's nice shooter and plays tough defense.  He's a hybrid but, with the confidence that Pruitt never had.

Giddens seems to be the whipping boy.  Not sure how anyone could have a problem with his game last night.  He might have played 5 minutes of garbage time.  He was active for those 5 min.  I think being the worst player on this team would make anyone look bad.

True about Hudson being like a Pruitt with confidence.  The more I see Giddens, the more he looks like a great athlete, not a basketball player.  Kedrick Brown, no question.
