I never thought I'd ever say this, Please heal quickly Tony.

I'm starting to question if JR ever picked up a ball. How was he a 1st round pick? He looks like he never played ball in his life. If Tony Allen is our worst player with his 7 points a game, please give me 3 Tony's. I would like to make a public apology to Doc for ever questioning him about Giddens. Seriously Bring back Gerald Green.

I would like to trade JR for 2 large pizza extra cheese.

I believe JR will be ok. He just needs to find his groove and learn his role.

This is probably the longest he has been with the C's. Seems like he spent most of last yr in the D-League. He'll be fine.

I think I could pose more of an offensive threat than Giddens.

How do you expect to play in the NBA if you can't even get a shot off, never-mind make one.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

He's only taken one shot this season... "can't even make one" comment makes zero sense.

If you watched him play so far this season you'll understand. He fumbles passes, he's a wallflower, he can't dribble, and he can't shoots. After a full year in this system, Marquis was giving him directions. Either he can't play or he has yet to grasp the system.

Ah sorry, I guess "never-mind make one" has a completely different meaning.

Has nothing to do with what I'm pointing out.

It means, never-mind make one.  Who cares if he's a 100% FG shooter, or if he can't even hit rim?  If he can't find a shot he has 0 chance of scoring.  That was focus of my post, nowhere was I even attempting to insult his shooting ability.

You don't just trade people becuase they aren't playing well, he's the very last kid on the team and he shows great attitude. Theres worse people that could be sitting on the end of the bench.

If you can find a trade thats good and it takes JR to complete it... do it, you don't need to go around trying to find someone to trade him for.

Yeah, trading inactive players is kinda pointless, seeing as they're inactive.

Just throw him in the D-League.

It's strange.  I agree that he looks lost on offense.  What's strange is that in college, at New Mexico, he was THE MAN, just like Danny Granger, who also went there.  Not sure what happened to JRs confidence once he got to Boston.

Confidence isn't enough when you just aren't that good.

He was a very risky, unexpected pick. If it turns out to be a bad big, I won't lose any sleep over it. It happens.

JR has all the abilities, its a mental thing right now. He has the deer in the headlights looks out there. He is thinking too much instead of playing the game. He doesn't look for the ball and when it comes his way he doesn't look to score he makes the easy pass. Gabe Pruitt would atleast shoot the ball JR looks lost. He needs to get past that mental block if he wants to play on the big stage.

Looks like I'll be watching JR play for the Red Claws in the near future.

I was harsh on JR last night in the game thread.  As I thought more about it, though, I realized I was a bit too harsh.

I agree he is probably not a C for much longer (certainly not past this season).  But keep in mind that he has been asked to do one thing - defense.  He is not asked to look for his shot, and nor should he when Daniels, House and Wallace are out there (let along BBD).  What we really need out of a backup wing spot is someone who plays good D.  Is his D good?  I guess a better question would be, who else would you want for that position who plays better D.  Perhaps Ime Udoka, I don't know.  But Giddens doesn't look lost on D, so I think he is okay.  Any newcomer would be lost on D.
Celtics fan for life.
