Whats keeping Cavs from making this move? Shaq would dominate most backup Centers. And BigZ spaces floor for Lebron. To me its a win/win situation.

Frankly, I hope that Mike Brown keeps doing the very opposite of what makes sense.

I'm confident he will.  He's just as much a puppet for the desire to please LeBron as anybody else in that organization, and LeBron wants to play with other stars.

Mike Brown getting COTY last year was probably the most ridiculous thing to happen all season.

I agree completely!  Not so much as "benching" shaq but start Z and put shaq against a 2nd string group.  Honestly the cavs games I've seen Shaq looks like the 2nd best player behind lebron.  I'm thinking/hoping the cavs will have a disfunctional season (no knock on shaq)

I don't think the first week of the season is the time to do this.  Maybe after a couple of months, but I think they should give it some time.

Why do you care?  They're fine just the way they are. ;D

I don't think it would be smart for any team to bench a star acquisition after only three games under virtually any circumstance. The Cavs brought Shaq in to win games for them as their starting center. Why overreact and throw in the towel with that plan this early in the season?

Cleveland didn't need Shaq. They actually didn't need to do anything. They were the best regular season team last year. They choked, simple as that.

Their only move should of been the firing of Mike Brown...

Mike Brown might be like our 6th man on the court at all times.  Can the Celtics organization give him an award for that?   ;D

i love seeing shaq struggle. he's a funny dude but he's also responsible for a bunch of laker trophies. i'll always root against shaq.
he's slowing down their entire team. he HAS to be benched for z. but i hope they keep putting it off. the cavs need to admit their mistake. can they trade shaq? if so i dont know why they wouldn't. he destroys their offense and their pick and roll defense.
it's early but what they were doing on offense last year worked to win the most games.i'm certainly not the first to suggest it, but why the hell isn't lebron in the post more or coming off screens from down low? not everyone beats the cavs but EVERYBODY knows at least HOW to defend them.
if they turn it around it won't be with shaq. if they keep starting shaq i think every team able should go small and run him off the court. toronto  w/bargnani did a number on 'em.

Why was Mike Brown given COY last season? Doc won back to back 60+ games, and nothing a single trophy besides his championship.

Hmm, Shaq 7 for 13 tonight, and Big Z 0-9....

Shaq hasn't been the problem. It's a coaching problem.

I really laugh at all this "his slowing down the team" no he isn't. They don't need him to run, or wait for him to run. As if the quickness of Big Z really makes a difference in the running department.

Shaq is doing his job, the rest need to shape up and change the style of play they use with him on the floor.
