My Team

RB 1 - R. Brown
RB 2 - R. Grant
WR 1 - R. Wayne
WR 2 - S. Holmes
W/R - M. Forte
TE - Z. Miller, D. Keller

Flex Bench - S. Moss, M. Crabtree, A. Bradshaw, J. Maclin

I was offered Heath Miller for M. Forte or R. Grant.

Obviously Heath Miller is better then Zach Miller or Dustin Keller, but if I take Forte or Grant out of my lineup, I have a much shakier flex spot with either rookie WR's, a Redskin WR, or a RB playing with a broken foot.  I already countered with Bradshaw and that was rejected (because of the broken foot).  The guy offering the trade also has Dallas Clark, so he doesn't need Heath Miller.  We are both near the top of the standings, so a playoff meeting is possible.

I don't think the upgrade at TE is big enough to justify killing your depth at the RB position. Injuries are all to common at that position.

You win with stud running backs, not tight ends.  No go.

I'd pass on this trade too.  Giving up a legitimate starting RB for a TE could kill ya.

Oh, and unless your team has really unusual scoring rules, I'd much rather be slotting in a decent running back into that W/R spot than a wideout (much less rookie wideouts).

That's how I was leaning, but Zach Miller and Dustin Keller are so inconsistent, I wouldn't mind some consistency at the position.

It is a PPR league so WR's often score as much as RB's (for example Forte is around 70 and Heath Miller is around 98), but you just never know what you will get from S. Moss, Maclin, or Crabtree on a given week, at least I know Forte is consistently average.

Although I'm bigger on TE's than others here, I still wouldn't do it ... not enough in return to make it worthwhile, IMHO.

but Forte is having an atrocious year...one has to assume he will bounce back at some point.  The other guy is just trying to bait you into selling low.

Yeah, I think Forte's bound to rebound at some point. I mean he can't be this bad after what he did last year can he?

Honestly though I think the Bears need to get younger on the line sigh....

Ended up trading with a different guy.  Picked up Gates and Jenkins (a throw in) for S. Holmes and Bradshaw.  Still have to play a rookie or S.Moss in the WR2 slot, but keep 3 solid RB's.  Holmes was on bye this week anyway so I already have Crabtree in after his solid opening game.  I dropped Keller and picked Jerome Harrison as an extra RB just in case.

would you trade Carson Palmer and Reggie Wayne for Tom Brady and a mid-level receiver?  I would insert Percy Harvin into my lineup if I traded Wayne.

Nope.  Brady is certainly better than Palmer, but I wouldn't give up Wayne.  He's one of the most consistent wideouts in the NFL, and puts up big numbers almost weekly.

I agree.  Wayne is extremely consistent.

I would also seriously consider the upcoming schedule for the Patriots.  Some tough games on the horizon so his fantasy projections are going to be lower.

that's how I was leaning, but thought I would ask.  I also have Joe Flacco, who is almost dead even with Palmer in points.  If I could only figure out which guy to put in each week, I'd get near Brady-like production.  Been a challenge to get it right though.
