Yup, JJ is apparently cutting a rap album.  For those who aren't familiar with JJ's lyrical skillz, here's some of his poems from college.  A quick sample:

I asked the Lord, "What am I to do?"
He said, "Son, I made the sky blue
The rain falls because of me
Leaves change colors on a fall tree

Can't wait to see how his flow has evolved since coming into the NBA!  Has money and fame changed the realness of his rhymes?  Only time will tell!

I think if you watched the interview, he's pretty much just doing this to have fun and I'm pretty sure he knows its going to be bad judging by some of the names they had come up with for the group.  I'll still check it out though just because JJ has written some good poetry.

JJ is a warrior poet  ;)  But yeah, I don't think he's taking himself seriously here.  Still should be epically bad though.

Think he'll outsell T-Hud's debut album?

Nice to see the Celtics well represented with Dana Barrros, Gary Payton, Chris Mills, and Brian Shaw.

Just check out some of these gems:

Oh yes, that's JR Rider.  He'll never be forgotten after dropping such classics like this.

Jason Kidd, not only dishing out assists, but dope rhymes.

Ya know Gary's from Oakland, fits right in with E-40, Too Short, Richie Rich, Digital Underground, the Luniz and all of those other East Bay rappers.

Actually looks like half this album is by guys from Oakland:  Gary Payton, Brian Shaw, Jason Kidd, JR Rider.  Move over Motown.

Oh luckily it looks like someone realized how truly classic this album is and uploaded every track to Youtube, so go knock yourself out.
