I think we are getting ahead of players again.

Lets just see players for what they are.

Williams has been the 4th big man play in low pressure situations surrounded by strong offensive and defensive players.  He has done a better then expect job of filling the role he was asked to fill.

He needs to show a lot more in pressure situations before anyone can say he is on his way to be starter quality or fullfilling his draft status.  (neither of which is important to his Celtics career)

Sheldon is in a perfect situation right now.  Let him just blend in.  No reason to get too hyped about him.

He's playing like the intelligent Dukie that he is.  He is just now starting to let go of the pressure he felt in years past and I think he likes being just another piece on a great team.   Let's not add any pressure on him when there is none.

all shelden needs to do is play a good 15-20 mpg, play solid D, get rebounds, and not make mistakes. he's been doing this so far, and i suspect he will for the rest of the year. at this point, that's all we should focus on. though i will concede that if he does his job here, and learns to play hard all the time (which, if he's getting PT, he has to be doing), i do think he could be a good starter down the line. if he learns to play celtic defense, truthfully, i think big baby gets traded...baby has value, and if shelden could do his job (and he's got a few inches on baby, which is one shortcoming baby can't do anything about), i could see a trade midseason, or in the offseason.

I agree....lets see a strong first half and I will start to pass serious judgement. Right now, I am enjoying the ride. Each bucket and rebound is a present as far as I am concerned right now.
