Ball didn't lie on Mo's free throw!

+6 after a horrid start, I'm fine with it. But don't become complacent, extend the lead, unleash the bench, and we're done. :)

Beautiful second quarter.

Yeah, really liked what I saw from the Cs after about the first 7 minutes of the game.
Celtics fan for life.

He got grabbed into that travel.

He didn't travel, though. It just looked awkward.

Yeah, the replay seemed to illustrate that.  Real time you could see his right arm get grabbed.

Either way, they got it right.

Crab dribble didn't work for Queen James there that time.

Anyway guys... Is that me or are the C's unable to succeed a fastbreak? They seem to score on fastbreaks only when they shoot it from three... when they go to the hoop they either get blocked, lose the ball, or make a dumb pass.

goodygoodygoodygoody.... celtics up in cleveland at the half.

after the opening few minutes, the celtics looked sharp. i thought ray allen making his shots was key.

sigh.....finally.....real celtics basketball.

life is good.

Nice half, when was the las time our bench got us back into a big game? (Opening night against a conference rival is huge) Cleveland may have a deeper bench, but they don't fit/play together as well as ours. Ray starting to heat up, and Pierce is getting loosened up. Now we have to slow shaq down just a tad bit, he's been dominating Perk.

Gotta love the huge advantage the bench is giving this team not only tonight but what it will give us every night. The best starting five in the league is now backed up by one of the best bench's in the league.

It's not going to be long before ESPN and all the Debbie Downers across the media are going to have to eat their preseason words and start to reflect on Boston being so good because they are constantly having their bench outplay the competition by a wide margin.

Watch, you'll see. It will be the big sub story, side story written in the ESPN Hoops area and Aldridge and Hollinger will be having stories about it before very long.

the announcer starts of enthusiastically, "The Cleaveland Caveliers! Lebron James! He has this or that many points!" Then he continues to say in a monotone and accelerated voice that they're down and mumbles something about pierce and garnet.

When we win ESPN will air Cleavlands highlights, tell us Lebron/Shaqs stat line, and mumble "the cavs would go on to lose by how ever many points."

I love winning, and making the media upset

perhaps part of it is that the cavs do play pretty good defense.

Lots of things to like in the first half: Good ball movement creating nice outside looks, good second quarter defense, Garnett's moving well, Rondo's playing aggressively.

Not a bad start - but need to finish the job and make a statement, early, that Cleveland's in for a rough ride.

I'm glad they settled down. KG looks almost invisible on offense. C's should make it a point to go to him first in the second half.
