What is the "CG Calendar"?

On the front page of the CG forums there a calendar with upcoming events and birthdays and holidays.

What is CG?

A typo.  I have a lot of stuff to fix in the next few minutes

I voted Patriots Day because it's unique to Massachusetts. Though I forgot about Thanksgiving.

Oh, and I voted for UN Day, mostly to irk Eja.

I can't even tell you how irked I am that you did that. I mean I have been irked before but that is the irkiest thing anyone has ever done to me

I think Patriot's Day is unique to New England and Wisconsin, but close enough. ;)

D-Day, because it is my birthday (June 6, for those not in the know).  And no, I was not born in '06...  ;)
Celtics fan for life.

I amend my vote to Leif Erikson Day (October 9).

Nah, just Mass and Maine. But we were one in the same at one point, so I guess you can consider it "unique" to Massachusetts.

Wisconsin lets there kids take the day off from school, I think. I'm pretty sure in ME and MA some workers get the day off, too. Regardless, Wisconsin shouldn't be allowed to honor the holiday at all  :P

Ok this should settle some things

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_holidays

I had no idea that Black Friday and Buy Nothing Day are the same day.

I also did not know

"Confederate Memorial Day, also known as Confederate Decoration Day (Tennessee) and Confederate Heroes Day (Texas), is an official holiday and/or observance day in parts of the U.S. South "

Wow. Eenteresting. How this escaped the summer arguments we had is beyond me.

And the official flower of Grandparent's Day is the Forget-me-not. Oh you can't make this stuff up unless you're the guy who decided that

That reminds me I was going to see my grandma tomorrow

I voted for Thanksgiving...Family & Food

glad to see I was able to push Thanksgiving to first place (with two votes now).

Gotta love football and turkey and gravy with mashed potatos.

And now UN day has tied it lol.

Personally I don't have a favorite holiday, just a favorite time of year. The Fall has football/basketball/my birthday/thanksgiving so its my favorite time of year.

New Years - Only important to me if I'm at a bar in Canada
Valentine's - I'm a lonely toaster for a reason
An equinox or solstice - Not Important
Groundhog Day  - Worst holiday ever
International Clown Week - Redz would love this, I'm sure.
St. Patrick's Day - Not Irish, but I like Guinness
April Fools - Hate it, I'm too gullible on that day for some reason.
Earth Day  - I'm not a hippie.
Cinco De Mayo - Only celebrated once or twice in Spanish classes
Mother's Day - Couldn't even tell you when it is
Memorial Day  - Only for my grandfather
D- Day - When is this, again?
Fête des Mères - What?
Father's Day - Not close with my father.
Independence Day (July 4) - Hells yes
Labor Day - I'll leave that one to my girl and my mother.
United Nations Day  - No, thanks.
Halloween   - Candy, candy, candy. And a new Saw movie.
Veteran's Day - Again, only for my grandfather.
Thanksgiving  - I do love a good turkey once a year.
Christmas - And Presents are always ok with me.
Hanuka - Never celebrated
Kwanza - Same.
Columbus Day - I don't celebrate the genocide of a people, let alone my people.
President's Day - meh
MLK Day - He was a great man, for sure.. I can't say I personally celebrate it, though.
Patriot's Day - Meh
Mischief Night - Call me a vandal, I call myself an artist.
Leif Erikson Day - I'll leif your erikson.

So, with all the crossing out and heavy thought. I'm going to take the easy route and say Christmas because I like presents.
